<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">It is submitted that the industry given personal </span><span lang="EN-US">hearing before Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana on 18.11.2022, wherein it was decided that:-</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall submit proof of date of commissioning and document related to land use pattern of the area, within 10 days.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall apply for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, within 10 days.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-3, Ludhiana shall visit the industry to verify the contentions of the industry and process the consent application on merits.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Now, t</span><span lang="EN-US">he industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the printing of cutting cloth @ 2000 num/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 0.7 KLD onto land for plantation after ETP and domestic effluent @ 0.3 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank. The industry has deposited consent fee, which are adequate upto 30.06.2024 under both acts.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry was visited by RO on 10.12.2022 and observed that:-</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry was in operation and the same was engaged in the work of screen printing of garments. During the visit unit was in operation but no effluent was being discharged.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed table printing machines and 05 fully automatic circular printing machines inside the premises.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted the feasibility report of ETP of capacity 2.5 KLD consisting of Eq tank</span><span lang="EN-US">à</span><span lang="EN-US"> Chemical dozing arrangement</span><span lang="EN-US">à</span><span lang="EN-US"> Flocculator</span><span lang="EN-US">à</span><span lang="EN-US"> Filters</span><span lang="EN-US">à</span><span lang="EN-US"> outlet.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">4. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">Treated effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation provided opposite the industry.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">5. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed 01 DG set of capacity 140 KVA with canopy and stack height.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">6. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted the copy of approved building plan from the competent person under factory Act.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">7. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted the copy of the document regarding the regularization of the plot.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">8. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted the copy of electricity bill as proof regarding the date of commissioning of the unit i.e. 01.03.2007.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">9. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Further, the industry has commissioned in Year 2007 i.e. prior before the notification of Master Plan. As per policy of the Board, the industry dose not required to submit continuity certificate and the industry can operate for 15 years from date of notification of master plan till August, 2023.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">In view of above, May if approved:-</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted upto 30.06.2023 with special conditions that:-</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">i) </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall got analyzed its effluent samples from the Board’s lab within this period.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">ii) </span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall comply with the zoning regulation of Master Plan of Ludhiana and shall shift its unit accordingly.</span></p>
