<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Earlier the industry has granted Consent to establish under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/LDH1/2022/18021302 dated 24.03.2022 valid upto 23.03.2023 under green category.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has deposited consent fee which is adequate upto 31.12.2027 under both acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">To verify the facts the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 06.01.2023 & observed as under:- </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry falls in designated industrial zone i.e. Plot no. E-250, Phase-IV, Focal Point, Ludhiana. The Building of the industry already constructed and machinery is yet to install at site.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The unit is engaged in the manufacturing of all types of automobile components (With inhouse facilities of Machining & Welding/Broaching) @ 3 T/day from C.R. Sheet @ 2.70 T/day & H.R. sheet 0.25 T/day use as raw material involving only machining work.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">There is no source of air pollution like boiler/furnace.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 01 DG set of capacity 320 KVA with canopy & adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is not generating any trade effluent & only domestic effluent @ 4 KLD is generated which is discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to industry upto 31.12.2027 with suitable conditions as per the policy of the Board.</span></p>
