<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 1.0in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">It is submitted that the industry is an existing brick kiln unit and was granted consents to operate vide no. CTOW/Renewal/FZL/2021/17357800 and CTOA/Renewal/FZL/2021/17355937 dated 04/12/2021, both valid upto 30/09/2022 under the Air Act, 1981, for operation of brick kiln for production of bricks & tiles @ 30,000 Number/day, subject to suitable conditions mentioned therein and addition condition that the brick kiln will make necessary technological modifications suggested by the technical provider in time bound manner as decided by the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 1.0in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">Now, the brick kiln has applied for obtaining extension in the validity of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents under Orange category. The already deposited consents fee under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981, is adequate upto 30.09.2023, against the fixed assets of Rs. 62.49 lac, as on 31.03.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 1.0in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">The brick kiln has submitted that there is no modification of existing induced draft kiln. The Board has carried out the monitoring of brick kiln having central island > 245 feet and at present, there is no policy to grant long term consent to operate to such kiln. The brick kiln was found complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 as well as code of practice during last visit to the kiln.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 1.0in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: -.5in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">1.</span><span style="font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', 'serif';"> </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">Consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted upto 31.03.2023 for production of bricks & tiles @ 30,000 nos./day using induced draft zig-zag technology for regular period (category-II) i.e., subject to the suitable conditions along with following additional conditions that the industry shall discharge its Domestic Effluent onto land for plantation after treatment in the septic tank.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: -.5in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">2.</span><span style="font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', 'serif';"> </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">Consents to operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be extended upto 16.06.2023 for production of bricks & tiles @ 30,000 nos./day using induced draft zig-zag technology for regular period (category-II) i.e., subject to the suitable conditions and additional condition that the brick kiln will make necessary technological modifications suggested by the technical provider in time bound manner as decided by the Board.</span></p> |
