<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">1.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">It is submitted in such units, only makeup water is used in the humidification plants. Purge water, if any generated, shall be of very negligible quantity and the same shall be sent alongwith domestic effluent to the sewerage treatment plant (STP) installed by the unit for treatment of the effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">2.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> T</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">he industry has proposed to generate around 45 KLD effluent for partial CTO. The industry has around 5 acres of land area inside its premises and around 3-4 acres of land area in front of residential colony of NIEL weaving unit. As such, the industry has around 8 acres of land area developed as green lawns for utilization of treated effluent. Further, the industry vide its letter dated 06.01.2023 has submitted following undertaking:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 42.45pt; margin-left: 76.5pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> <em>“STP water reuse into plantation, sanitation and washing about 40 KLD during the winter and summer for 08 acres (32374 sq. mtr.) land is sufficient and during the rainy session which very very less period and treated STP water may use for plantation if any surpluses then use for sanitation and washing and also we will develop 0.5 acre of plantation area by Karnal Technology.”</em></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">A copy of the said letter is also attached herewith for perusal. Thus, the proposal submitted by the industry for discharge of effluent is adequate.</span></p>
