<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">It is intimated that the stone crusher was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/HSP/2017/6547511 & CTOA/Renewal/HSP/2021/17516320 dated 17.12.2021 valid upto 30.09.2023 with conditions mentioned therein. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">Thereafter, the industry was visited by officer of this office on 14.11.2022 and found violating the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Accordingly, the consent to operate granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was revoked/ cancelled vide this office letter no. 2477 dated 21.11.2022 and report sent to Zonal Office, Jalandhar for information and further necessary action.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">Accordingly, the industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 14.12.2022, wherein it was decided that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">The industry shall remove all the shortcomings as observed by the officer during visit on 14.11.2022 within 07 days.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">Now, the stone crusher has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The stone crusher has submitted CA Certificate, compliance of earlier granted consents.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">The stone crusher was visited by office of this office on 28.12.2022 and observed that:-</span></p>

The stone crusher has provided settling tanks provided for the setlling of the effluent to be generated from the washing process of the crushing material. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; background: white;">In view of above, if approved the consent to operate granted under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2023 with suitable terms & conditions and with special condition that :</span></p>
