CTOW/Fresh/MOG/2018/7555689 and the Air Act, 1974 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/MOG/2018/7555669 dated 21.05.2018 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>for operation school with strength of 1741 students valid upto 30.09.2021, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>subject to the suitable conditions mentioned therein.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-fareast-font-family: Wingdings; mso-bidi-font-family: Wingdings;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">Ø<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Now, the institute has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 for operation school with strength of 1741 students. Details of the case are as under:-</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The institute has submitted certificate from Chartered Accountant issued dated 18.09.2022 showing gross fixed assets of Rs. 193.65 lakhs as on 30.09.2021. Accordingly, the institute has deposited Rs. 43,000/- under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 43,000/- under the Air Act, 1981 dated 07.12.2021, verified by DCFA through its email dated 15.12.2022, which is adequate for a period upto 30.09.2026 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>under both the Acts after imposing penalty.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><em><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-language: PA;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></em><!--[endif]-->The institute has submitted an undertaking to the fact that the school has three pits in the premises. In one of them they kept dry solid waste, which is further disposed off to the MC and wet solid waste in put into other pits.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><a name="_GoBack"></a><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-fareast-font-family: Wingdings; mso-bidi-font-family: Wingdings;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">Ø<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Punjab Pollution Control Board in order to facilitate the industries vide office order no. 59 dt. 02.02.2016 has decided that renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 will be granted to the industries (Orange/Green Category- Small Scale) without visiting the unit within 7 days.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-fareast-font-family: Wingdings; mso-bidi-font-family: Wingdings;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">Ø<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Further, it is intimated that the institute will be visited during tour to that area within two months to check the compliance under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 and report will be submitted accordingly.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify;">Keeping in view of the above may if approved renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the institute upto 30.09.2026 for operation of the school with strength of 1741 students, subject to the suitable conditions.</p>
