It is submitted that the industry is a small scale green category unit. It was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. RO/SGR/WPC/05/388 dated 01.12.2005 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. RO/SGR/WPC/05/380 dated 01.12.2005, both valid upto 31.03.2019 for manufacturing of Herbal Medicines by using Plants & herbs as raw material.   Now, the industry has applied to renew the Consent   to operate granted under the Water Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicine in form of Syrup @180 Liter/day and Ayurvedic medicine in form of powder filled in capsules @10000 Numbers/Day by using Plants & herbs @50 kgs/day, Sugar @150 kgs/day and Water @ 100 kgs/day as raw material under GREEN category.    The industry has deposited Rs. 12,375/- through online vide UTR No. CBINH22361998634 dated 27/12/2022 under the Water Act, 1974. The industry has also deposited Rs. 3,600/- through online vide UTR No. CBINH22361000605 dated 27/12/2022 as penalty fee The fee deposited by industry is adequate up to 31/12/2032 against the value of fixed assets of Rs. 8.76 lacs as on 31/03/2022 per CA certificate submitted by the industry. The industry has also submitted compliance report of consent conditions earlier granted to it under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Further, the industry has not applied for obtaining consent under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as there is no source of air pollution. In this regard, the industry has also submitted its request letter mentioning that the industry is involving in making of ayurvedic medicine in form of syrup by boiling herbs by using LPG based chullas and in form of capsules by filling it with powder and there is no activity involves in process of making ayurvedic medicine, which causes the air pollution and also, there is no DG set installed by our industry, it is requested to exempt for obtaining air consent It is pertinent to mention here that the Board vide Office Order No. 59 dated 02.02.2016 decided to grant auto renewal of Consent to Operate/ Establish to Orange & Green Category of Industries within 7 days of its application submission without the need of visiting the site/ premises of the industry, in order to facilitate the industry. Further, it is intimated that there is no change in the underappreciated value of the fixed assets. Moreover, as per the record file, the industry is only generating domestic effluent, which is discharged into PSIEC sewer of Focal Point. No complaint is pending against the industry. The industry was found complying with consent conditions during last visit and consents were granted thereafter.              The industry falls under Green Category as mentioned at serial no. 3002 (Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines (without boiler)) The competency for grant of Consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 to small scale green category units lies with the Environmental Engineer of  Regional  office,  as per  Board  policy No. EE (Mega) 2013/19650-19761 dated 30.04.2013. Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate granted under Water Act, 1974 , may be renewed  upto  31.12.2032 for manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicine in form of Syrup @180 Liter/day and Ayurvedic medicine in form of powder filled in capsules @10000 Numbers/Day by using Plants & herbs @50 kgs/day, Sugar @150 kgs/day and Water @ 100 kgs/day as raw material, with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board and specific conditions as under: - 1.   The industry shall ensure that no water pollution problem is created in the area due to discharge of effluents from its industrial premises. 2.   The industry shall not install any boiler / furnace / DG set in its premises without prior permission of the Board. 3.   The industry shall not consume any fuel for burning purpose without prior written permission of the Board. 4.   The industry shall ensure that no air pollution problem or public nuisance is created in the area due to the discharge of emissions from the industry. <span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry shall not carried out any expansion in its unit without prior written permission of the Board.
