<p>RO has reported that the industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2018/7347382 dated 08/05/2018 up to 30/09/2022 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2018/7347468 dated 08/05/2018 up to 30/09/2022 for manufacturing of Tablets @ 50000 Numbers/Day, Capsules @ 50000 Numbers/Day, Dry Syrups in Bottels @ 1000 Numbers/Day & Liquid Syrups in Bottles @ 500 Numbers/day by using Paracetamol @ 25 Kgs/day, Starch @ 10 Kgs/day and Talcum @ 5 Kgs/day as raw materials.</p>
<p> Thereafter, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the same were granted under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2022/20027605 dated 20/10/2022 up to 30/09/2023 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2022/20027616 dated 20/10/2022 up to 30/09/2023 with certain terms & conditions mentioned therein along with special condition that the industry has to install a water meter on the pipe carrying effluent to the solar evaporation pond and maintain record for the same.</p>
<p> Now, the industry has again applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with Compliance of the previous granted consents, latest CA Certificate and dimensional drawing of Solar Evaporation Pond, Proof regarding installation of water meter on the pipe carrying effluent to the solar evaporation pond as per special condition imposed, along with request to grant the consent to operate for five years.</p>
<p> The industry was visited by undersigned on 10/01/2023 and observed as under:-</p>
<ol start="1" type="1">
<li><span lang="EN-IN">The industry is engaged in a process of formulation of drugs and manufactures tablets, capsules, liquid syrups and dry syrups.</span></li>
<li><span lang="EN-IN">During visit the industry was in operation.</span></li>
<li><span lang="EN-IN">The industry has provided solar evaporation pit of approx. size 1.5 ft x 3 ft x 4 ft for the disposal of effluent arising from washing of pans.</span></li>
<li>The industry has now installed water meter on the pipe carrying effluent to the solar evaporation pond as per special condition imposed during last consents.</li>
</ol>
<p> It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 RO has recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for 30/09/2027 with suitable terms & conditions. Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for 30/09/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.</p>
