<p>RO has reported that earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2018/7597754 dated 25/07/2018 up to dated 30/06/2022 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2018/7597779 dated 25/07/2018 up to dated 30/06/2022 for Finished Fabrics @ 1.0 MTD by using Unfinished Fabrics @ 1.0 MTD, Trade Effluent @ 20.0 KLD onto land for plantation (2900 Sq. Yards).</p>
<p> Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with Compliance of the previous granted consents and other relevant documents.</p>
<p> The industry was visited by officer of this office on 10/01/2023 and observed as under:-</p>
<p>1. The industry was in operation during the visit & engaged in process of finishing and dyeing of fabric.</p>
<p>2. The industry has installed an ETP for the treatment of effluent.</p>
<p>3. Earlier, the industry developed a plantation area on the front side and backside of the industry in the measuring size of 3000 sq. yards approx. for the discharge of treated effluent.</p>
<p>4. Now, the industry has applied for change in its mode of disposal from onto land for plantation to into sewer, for which the industry has granted permission from Municipal Corporation, Amritsar issued vide no. 1671 dated 12/12/2022.</p>
<p>5. Flow meter has already been installed on the outlet of the ETP by the industry.</p>
<p>6. The industry has installed a boiler of capacity 3 TPH which is wood/saw dust fueled and equipped with multi cyclone as an APCD.</p>
<p>7. The industry has provided a stack to the boiler of height 70’ with adequate sampling arrangement.</p>
<p>8. The industry has installed a D.G. set of 125 KVA, which is fitted with canopy.</p>
<p> It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. </p>
<p>RO has recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30/06/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.</p>
<p>It is pertinent to mention here that trade effluent sample has been analyzed by the Board Lab and results of which has been recieved by Zonal Office vide no. 2938-40 dated 31/10/2022 and the results are within permissible limits as prescribed by the Board. </p>
<p> Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30/06/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.</p> |
