<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 13.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 27.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">It is submitted that the industry had obtained NOC of the Board under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for establishment of unit namely M/s Singla Cold Storage, Vill. Buta Singh Wala, Devigarh Road Patiala Vide no. Patiala/NOC/97-98/205 dated 29.07.1997 valid for one year. The industry vide undertaking dated 05.12.2022 has submitted that they are operating its cold storage since March 1998 and not applied for Consent to Operate of the Board due to lack of knowledge. Earlier, the industry has submitted application for obtaining fresh Consent to Operate for operation of cold storage @ 3000 MT/year, which was returned due to certain observations.</span> Now, the industry has resubmitted application for obtaining fresh Consent to Operate for operation of cold storage @ 4500 MT/year.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 13.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 27.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 2.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 13.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 27.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry was visited by the AEE & JEE of this office on 09.01.2023 to verify the contents of the application and contacted Sh. Hemant Singla at site. During visit, it was observed as under: </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The representative informed that the repair work and cleaning for storage of various commodities is going on, for upcoming season. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry has provided 2 no. sections having 5 floors each (of compressors) for cold storage purpose. Presently, no commodity has been stored in the said sections. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">Further, the civil work is going on inside the premises and seems that the industry is in process of constructing another section for expansion. The representative informed that the industry is intending to go for expansion and thus started that construction work 10 days back.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The domestic effluent is discharged for plantation purpose after passing through septic tank.</span></p>

DG set of capacity 5 KVA equipped with canopy & adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><strong><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 5.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 13.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 27.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">From above, it can be seen that the industry has started the expansion of its unit and also has applied for obtaining Consent to Operate for operation of cold storage @ 4500 MT/year (expanded capacity) without obtaining prior NOC expansion of the Board. If approved, the application of the industry maybe returned due to said observations and requested to resubmit the application with requisite site suitability permission from concerned authority. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
