<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;">Sir, the industry is a small scale red category unit and was granted consents valid upto 30.06.2023. However, the consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 was revoked by the Board as the industry was found using waste sludge of M/s Khanna Paper Mill, Amritsar as raw material without any treatment.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"> Now the industry has applied for consent to operate under Water Act, 1974. RO has reported that the industry was visited on 19.12.2022 and industry is manufacturing Mix Board from waste paperboard, paddy straw and sweet packaging boxes. The industry is in operation and 02 no. of Board Mills, 02 no. lamination machines are in operation. The effluent generated from mill is re-circulated in the process through pump. The industry has provided flow meter at fresh water supply and has maintained daily record of the same. The wastewater after septic tank is disposed off to plantation. No waste sludge of paper mill was found stored in the premises.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"> In view of above, if approved, consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2027 with suitable condition and special condition that the industry shall not use waste sludge of paper mills as raw material without obtaining AUC of the Board under HWM Rules 2016.(Comp SEE-J)</p> |
