<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The unit is a small scale orange category mentha plant and was granted consents both valid upto 30.06.2019 for manufacturing of Mentha Oil @ 18 Kg/year from Green Mentha @ 400 Kg/year along with domestic effluent @ 0.5 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank & any other @ 44 KLD with 100% re-circulation with boiler of 6 TPH with cyclone separator as APCD.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The industry has now applied for consent under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. Regional Office has reported that the industry was visited on 19.12.2022 and is operational.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>However, during visit, it was not in operational due to off season. The representative of the industry informed that the unit is operated in the last season and it is operated for only 1-2 months per year. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has installed boiler of capacity 6TPH <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>with cyclone as APCD and having stack of adequate height with sampling arrangements.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of report of Regional Office, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions and with special condition that industry will submit the air emission samples analysis report of the boiler furnace analyzed from the Board, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>lab in the coming season.(Comp- SEE-J)</p>
