<p class="MsoNormal">Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2022/17717161 dated 25/01/2022 up to 30/06/2026 for manufacturing of DYED & FINISHED KNITTED CLOTH @8.0Metric Tonnes/Day and DYED & PRINTED CLOTH @4.0Metric Tonnes/Day with usual terms & conditions.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for same type and quantity of raw material with varied quantiy of fuel usage (pet coke) usage in the boiler and thermopac. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It has submitted Compliance of the previous granted consent in annotated form, latest CA Certificate, Air analysis report issued by ECO Paryavaran Laboratories & Consultants Pvt. Ltd.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The industry has already deposited Rs. 72000/- vide UTR No. 25676449921DC dtd 08/12/2021 consent fee under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 72000/- vide UTR No. 25676467691DC dtd 08/12/2021 consent fee under Air Act, 1981. Rs. 1100 vide UTR No. 287780837 dated 09.01.2023 as NOC regularization fee and Rs. 500/- as application form fee to make the fee adequate up to 30/06/2026 under both acts against the fixed assets of the industry below 05 Crore.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The industry has submitted a sample report collected by M/s ECO Laboratories & Consultants, Mohali on 06/01/2023 from the stack of Boiler @ 4 TPH and thermopack 1200 u. As per analysis report, the particulate matter 190 mg/nm3 (against 500 mg/nm3) and sulphuric dioxide 313 mg/nm3 (against 600 mg/nm3) are within the prescribed limits of the Board.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has submitted a request letter which it is mentioning that: <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">We had been granted consent to operate under Air Act for pet coke usage quantities as per : Thermopack - 3.0 MTD, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Boiler - 4.0 MTD Sir, there was some clerical mistake in the quantities filed in the application form submitted online earlier. We are now applying with revised quantities of petcoke as per below: Thermopack - 7.0 MTD Boiler – 10.0 MTD.</em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify;">To heck compliance, the industry was visited by this office on 11/01/2023 and observed as under:-</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has installed a boiler of 4 TPH and <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>a Thermopac of capacity 4000 U in which Petcoke <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>was being used as a fuel. It has provided cyclone followed by wet scrubber and twin cyclone followed by wet scrubber as air pollution control device with the boiler and thermopac respectively and same were in operation, attached to a common stack.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has installed SO2 meter and pH meter and same were functional during visit. Representative of the industry during visit informed that they got repaired the SO2 and pH meter as directed by the Boards officer during visit to the industry on 27.11.2022. Further informed that they have ordered new SO2 meter to avoid any kind of non-compliance in future.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify;">In view of above, the industry is complying with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, it is therefore recommended that Consent to Operate under the Said Act may be granted to the industry for period upto 30.06.2026 with quantities of fuel usage (pet coke) in boiler section(10 MTD) and <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>thermopac (07 MTD) for manufacturing of DYED & FINISHED KNITTED CLOTH @8.0Metric Tonnes/Day and DYED & PRINTED CLOTH @4.0Metric Tonnes/Day with usual terms & conditions and specific as under:</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall get its emission samples analyzed from Board’s lab within one month.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall maintain record regarding the operation of air pollution control devices and submit the same to Regional office on quarterly basis.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall keep its SO2 meter and pH meter in operation able condition all the times and shall replace the defaulting ones immediately.</p>
