<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry is a small scale orange category industry and has been granted Consent to operate under the under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH4/2021/16859201 dated 12.11.2021 is valid upto 11.05.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has deposited Rs. 11800/- vide UTR. No. 000757146191 dated 27.12.2022 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Rs. 2900/- vide UTR. No. 000757148052 dated 27.12.2022 under the NOC regularization fees, which is adequate upto 30.11.2029 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 63,12,179/- and plant & machinery Rs. 22,17,658/- as on 17.09.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 27.12.2022 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">1. The industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in the process of forging of difference components. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">2. The industry has installed one forging hammers along-with oil fired re-heating furnace. The re-heating furnace provided with stack of adequate height. During visit air emission sample was collected from the porthole on stack after APCD (forging furnace) and as per result received from Zonal Lab, Ludhiana the concentration of particulate mater is found to be 64mg/Nm3 which are within prescribed limits. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">3. The industry has also installed one forging press along-with electrical billet heater. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">4. The industry has installed one electrically operated one shot blasting machine inbuilt bag filter house as APCD. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">5. There is no source of trade effluent generation, cooling water is re-circulated and domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">In view of above, it is recommended for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.09.2029 with suitable conditions, please.</span></p>
