It is verified from the purchase bill of sulphuric acid by the industry. Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide No. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2018/8256539 dated 20.09.2018 which is valid upto 30.06.2022 for production of H.B. Wire @ 6 Ton per day including acid pickling process.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;">The industry was visited by undersigned (JEE of this office) on 24.11.2022 and observed that :-</span></p>

Unit-II, at Kohara, Ludhiana.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Thereafter, the industry was issued show cause notice for violation under the provision of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide this office letter no. 1569 dated 16.12.2022 at Regional Office level with the request to submit reply in writing within 15 days to the reasons mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of its existing consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with requisite documents i.e. Compliance report of previous consent, latest CA certificate yearwise with total fixed assets for Rs. 69.17 lac, copy of Rent deed, detail of additional machinery and undertaking and copy of agreement with Re-processor i.e M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd. Unit-II, Kohara for lifting of spent acid produced from acid pickling process @ 6000 litre/month. has submitted detail of additional machinery and certified that the industry has neither increased production capacity nor installed machinery which creates/increases pollution load. The industry has deposited for Rs. 44700/- vide UTR.No. N363222265281386 dated 29.12.2022 under Water Act, 1974 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>&<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Rs. 5400/- vide UTR No. N363222265281371 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>dated 29.12.2022 as NOC regularization fee on its increased fixed assets. Consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.06.2027.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">During visit, water auditing was also carried out on 24.11.2022 and detail of the same is as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Water meter reading was as per record maintained as on 01.05.2022= 258.70 Kl</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Water meter reading was on 24.11.2022 during the visit= 307.70Kl</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Total consumption during the period 49000 +1300=50300 litre and spent acid got lifted by re-processor 42000 litre and 6000 litre spent acid was in process tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is complying with the conditions of previous consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 granted by the Board.</span></p>
