<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry has submitted application under the small scale red category industry and has been granted Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2021/16556506 dated 20.12.2021 is valid upto 19.12.2022 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2021/16556485 dated 20.12.2021 is valid upto 19.12.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has deposited Rs. 50400/- vide UTR. No. N350222251171956 dated 16.12.2022 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 which is adequate upto 30.06.2024 including NOC regularization fees and Rs. 36500/- vide UTR. No. N350222251168549 dated 16.12.2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.10.2024.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 06.01.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 49.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">1) The industry was in operation and is engaged in galvanizing process and pickling process. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 49.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">2)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has installed one no. hot dip galvanizing dip furnace with hood and wet scrubber as APCD with adequate stack height. During visit galvanizing section was not in operation and air emission sample could not be collected. The industry is maintaining the record of APCD operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 49.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">3) The industry has provided water meter for the pickling process and reading was noted as 292.08KL. The industry is maintaining the record of total water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted. As per record, the reading on 01.10.2022 was 268.9 KL, so total water consumption from 01.10.2022 to 06.01.2023 is 23.18 KL, HCL added during this period is 41.795 KL and effluent lifted during this period is 61.5 KL. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 49.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">4) The industry has installed two no. D.G sets equipped with canopy and adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">5) The industry has provided septic tank for domestic waste which is further discharged onto land for plantation. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">6) The industry has not submitted CLU from GLADA for continuance of their operation u/s 79 of Punjab Regional Town Planning & Development Act, 2006 of the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995 as per the special condition no 1 of the previous consents. In this regard, the industry representative informed that they have filed a appeal before the Punjab Regional and Town Planning Department and there case is not yet decided and is lying pending.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 31.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">It is pertinent to mentioned here that the MSME notification dated 01 June 2022 is under consideration of the Board and is yet to be implemented. The industry claim that it falls under small scale and has submitted Udyam Registration Certificate (attached herewith).</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">In view of above it is recommended that the application of the industry under Water </span><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(Prevention & Control of Pollution) </span><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">Act, 1974 and Air </span><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(Prevention & Control of Pollution) </span><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">Act, 1981 may be decided after considering the following facts:-</span></p>
