However, aforesaid clearance shall not be insisted upon by the Board at the time of grant of CTE/CTO to the industries."</span></strong></span></p>

B 29012/ESS/CPA/2015-16/85-84 dated 7.3.2016 alongwith the "Final document on revised classification of Industrial sectors under Red, Orange, Green & White categories" which also includes the consent period for which the consents are to be granted to Red, Orange and Green category industries for 5 years, 10 years and 15 years respectively. Further, Board vide Head Office letter no. SEE(HQ-2)/2018/ 9982-10003 dated 27/08/2018 has directed to strictly follow the consent validity criteria for Red, Orange and Green category industries as mentioned in the modified directions issued by CPCB u/s 18(1)b of the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 i.e. consent to Red, Orange and Green category industries may be granted for 5 years, 10 years and 15 years respectively. But, in the subject cited case, the industry has deposited consent fee only <strong>upto 31/12/2029.</strong></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _GoBack;"><strong><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">It is pertinent to mentioned here that a meeting was taken by the Hon'ble Chairman with the officers of the Board on 29/01/2021 at 11:00 AM in the Committee Room, Head Office, Patiala, wherein, it was decided that Consents to operate be issued to the industries for longer duration as per protocol laid down by the Board and more emphasis shall be laid on the monitoring.</span></strong></span></p>
