<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">In continuation to the note dated 12.01.2023 of the undersigned, it is submitted that the Regional Office has reported that the electric connection of the colony is intact i.e. the PSPCL authorities has yet not complied with the directions issued u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 to disconnect the supply of electricity available to the colony. Also, the visiting officer has reported that the colony was in operation with about 60 rooms, STP installed was in operation the treated effluent was discharged onto land for plantation developed as karnal technology, stagnation was removed, wet solid waste of the colony is lifted to the piggery and dry solid waste is lifted by the local kabadiwala.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Regional Office has recommended that consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 be granted to the colony for 6 months alongwith direction to PSPCL authorities to restore the supply of electricity to the colony temporarily for 6 months as the site of the labour colony is suitable for its establishment in-light of the DTP, Bathinda memo no. 2045 dated 08.12.2022.</p>
