<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category and the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2022/19130536 dated 22.08.2022 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2022/19130579 dated 22.08.2022 for the production of knitted fabric @ 1.0 T/day and labour job for printing on t-shirts @ 200 numbers/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 100 Ltr/day evaporation through electric heaters and domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD into sewer, both are valid upto 21.02.2023. Further the directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 were issued to the PSPCL authorities to restore the electric connection of the unit temporarily upto 21.02.2023 vide Board's letter no. 5344 dated 22.08.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the production of knitted fabric @ 1 T/day and labour job for printing on t-shirts @ 200 numbers/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 0.1 KLD evaporation through heaters and domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD into sewer. The industry has deposited Rs. 14,400/- vide R no. 476719869 dated 09.01.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 14,400/- vide R no. 832978973 dated 09.01.2023 under Air Act, 1981. Which are adequate upto 30.09.2027.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by officer of this office on 16.01.2023 and observed that:- </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has constructed 03 no. tanks having sizes 5’x4.5’x5’ each for collection and evaporation of trade effluent being generated from the washing of screens. The industry has provided 03 no. electric heaters (02 of cap. 09 KW and 01 of capacity 6 KW) for evaporation of the effluent @ 100 ltrs/day, which are sufficient to evaporate the effluent in about 12 hours. During the visit evaporation system was in operation. </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-language: PA;">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry has been visited 04 times by officer of the Board on 24.01.2019, 19.08.2019, 01.07.2022 and 16.01.2023 after issuing direction for disconnection of electric connection vide Board’s letter dated 6598 dated 21.12.2018. Hence the electric connection can be restored permanently as per protocol prescribed by the Board. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">view of the above, it is recommended that:- </span></p>
