<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry is a small orange category industry and was granted Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, both valid upto 05.01.2023.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Consent fees, which is adequate upto 30.09.2025 under both Acts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the officer of RO on 09.01.2023 and it was observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry was not in operation during visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one no. induction furnace of 500 kg/hr capacity which was not in operation during visit. The industry has submitted completion certificate dated 25.11.2020 from PSCST regarding the installation of same.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry is maintaining the record of energy meter readings and SOPs prescribed for such units.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->There is no source of trade effluent generation, cooling water is re-circulated and only domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after septic tanks.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The industry has already submitted CLU certificate for industrial purpose issued by Chief Town Planner Punjab, Chandigarh vide its memo no. 6477/CTP (PB)/SP-432 dated 14.09.2011.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->Renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2025 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->Renewal of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2025 with condition that industry will get its air emission sample analysed from Board Lab within one month.</p>
