<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">It is intimated that the project proponent applied for fresh consent to operate under green category (3052-Hotels (up to 20 rooms and without boilers) and having waste water generation < 10 KLD) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Hotel having 19 Rooms capacity alongwith requisite documents which may kindly be perused.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The project proponent has deposited Rs. 93534 vide R. No. 565685043 dated 10.01.2023 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 including Rs. 56534/- penalty / late fee, Rs. 5000/- under VDS scheme and Rs. 93534 vide R. No. 118139695 dated 10.01.2023 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 56534/- penalty / late fee, Rs. 5000/- under VDS scheme. The total fee deposited by the project proponent is adequate upto 31.03.2028 against the total cost of the project Rs. 166 lacs.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The project proponent has submitted site plan / layout plan approved by Competent Authority for Singar Hotel & Resturant Plan purpose to Sh. Sumar Chand S/o Sh. Monohar Lal.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The project proponent has submitted retirement-cum-admission deed between:</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The site of the project proponent was visited on 18.01.2022. During the visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The above project is a hotel-cum-restaurant located on Zirakpur –Shimla Highway.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The project proponent has installed STP based on biological treatment and same was in operation during the visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">During the visit, no outflow was observed from the final outlet of the STP.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Treated effluent is being discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The project proponent has installed DG set with canopy and stack of adequate height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2027 subject to certain terms and conditions and following additional conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0.15in 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">This consent is only valid for operation of Hotel having 19 rooms capacity. The project proponent shall obtain prior permission of the Board, if it increased its room capacity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0.15in 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">The industry shall discharge only domestic treated effluent into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0.15in 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">The industry shall not start any other new process within its unit which may change its category from Green to Orange/ Red, without the prior written permission of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0.15in 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 22px;">The industry shall obtain permission from other concern departments, if need be.</span></p>
