<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">In addition to the note, it is submitted that the CTO applications earlier applied by the industry were returned by the Board and Punjab Pollution Control Board vide letter dated 06/09/2022 has written letter to MoEF & CC as well as MS, SEIAA to clarify as to whether the unit attracts the provisions of EIA Notification 2006 or not? Accordingly, SEIAA vide letter dated 02/01/2023 has clarified that prior EC for the unit is not required, as it is not covered under category 5(f) of schedule appended with EIA notification 2006.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Further, the consent fee has been obtained w.e.f. year 2017.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">It is therefore recommended that fresh ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2030 subject to suitable conditions and special conditions mentioned in the note of AEE.</p>
