CTOW/Fresh/PTA/2017/6080066 dated 23/09/2017, valid upto 30/06/2022 and the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/PTA/2017/6079973 dated 23/09/2017, valid upto 30/06/2022 for manufacturing of Sulphur Powder @ 5 MTD by using Sulphur lumps (By Product of Oil Refinery) @ 5 MTD as raw material with suitable conditions as mentioned therein. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate grated under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite document i.e. compliance report, CA certificate etc. The industry has deposited Rs. 12100/- vide UTR No. 000671464179 dated 29.09.2022 as water consent fee and Rs. 12100/- vide UTR No. 000671463011 dated 29.09.2022 as air consent fee, against the fixed assets of Rs. 22.78 lakh as on 31.03.2022 as per CA certificate dated 28.12.2022, which is adequate upto 30.06.2027 (with penalty). <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">The industry has submitted compliance report of conditions of the consents granted it earlier under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 16.01.2023 and contacted Sh. Davinder Singh, Partner at site. During visit it was observed that: - </span></p>

Rotary valve has been provided the classifier and the cyclone for regulating the flow and removal of sulphur powder. The heavier or the lump particles collected from the top of the cyclone are again collected and feeded to the grinder cum classifier. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Bag house filter has been provided as APCD for control of process emissions and for reclamation of fine sulphur powder which is collected from the hopper of the bag house which is having height 3 meter above roof level. The representative of the industry informed that the fine dust is being lifted from the bag filter after 2-3 days and no emission is being discharged into atmosphere. Thus, air emission sampling is not required. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .25in; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">From above, it is clear that the industry is complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed </span><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">upto 30.06.2027<span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"> under red category subject to suitable conditions and special conditioned as per policy of the Board. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p> |
