<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Earlier the industry has granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2020/12311086 dated 31.03.2025 valid upto 31.03.2025 with conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Thereafter the industry has granted consent to establish under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no</span> <span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">CTE/Exp/LDH1/2022/17339735 dated 20.01.2022 valid upto 19.01.2023 for installing boiler of capacity 6 TPH using pet coke</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 after the installation of boiler of capacity 6 TPH.</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; margin: .3pt 0in .0001pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> In addition to already deposited consent fee, which was adequate upto 31.03.2025, now deposited Rs. 14400/- vide no. 137852058 dated 13.12.2022 balance fee against increased assets, which is adequate 31.03.2025.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> The site of the industry was visited by officers of the Board on 18.01.2023 & observed that:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 39.2pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has installed boiler of capacity 6 TPH with multi cyclone followe by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD, for which NOC for expansion was granted to the industry . The boiler was in operation & pet coke was being used as fuel. The SO2 meter & pH meter was also in operation. pH of scrubbing liquor was checked and it was found around. Air emission sample from the boiler was also collected and the results are awaited.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 39.2pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has dismantled its old boiler of 4 TPH. Now, the industry has 2 boilers i.e. 6 TPH capacity (new) and old boiler of capacity 5 TPH. Both the boiler are equipped with separate stacks of adequate height along with proper sampling arrangements and separate APCDs comprising of multi cyclone followed by wet scrubber. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormalCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> In view of the above, it is recommended that varied 'Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2025 with suitable terms and condition, please.</span></p>
