<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Sir, it is intimated that the industry has submitted point-wise reply of show cause notice issued by Zonal Office-I, Ludhiana vide letter no. 178-79 dated 10.01.2023. The industry has claimed date of commencement mentioned is 20.05.2019 as submitted Udyam Registration Certificate as date of commencement proof. The<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>industry is not agree with this point that earlier the industry was visited by this office on 21.12.2018 and the industry was in operation without consent to operate of the Board. The industry is not complying with the directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 vide Board’s letter no. 3507-08 dated 02.07.2019 which was directed to the industry that the<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>industry shall not operate the unit without prior permission of the Board. Thereafter, the industry is claimed 300% maximum penalty of consent fee for late applying or the industry is not aware about this. The industry has not submitted revenue document from which khasra no. May be matched for industrial area notification.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that an opportunity of show cause with personal hearing may be given to the industry, before refusal of the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 applied by the industry, please.</span></p>
