<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">It is submitted that the industry is small scale red category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2020/13929835 dated 17/12/2020, upto 30/06/2022 and under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2020/13930091 dated 17/12/2020, upto 30/06/2022 for production of cycle free wheel @ 5000 Numbers/day and for discharge of trade effluent @ 01 KLM lifted to CETP i.e. M/s JBR Technologies Limited and domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD into sewer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">Now, the industry has applied renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS on 31.12.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">The industry has deposited consent fee Rs. 24,300/- vide R.No. 164602044 dated 30.12.2022 under the Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 24,800/- vide R.No. 145395949 dated 30.12.2022 under the Water Act, 1974 against the gross value of fixed assets Rs. 1,29,52,864.28 and plant & machinery Rs. 88,75,395/- as on 31.03.2022. After deducting the penalty of 25% of one year fee under each application, the fee submitted by the industry is adequate upto 30.06.2024.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">Accordingly, the industry was visited by undersigned on 17.01.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

Ltd, Focal Point, Phase-8, Ludhiana for lifting of effluent @ 1000 Liter/Month generated from the process. </span></p>

The water meter reading on 01.07.2022 was noted to be 188.57 KL. As such the industry has consumed 4.15 KL of fresh water in the process and approximate 2050 ltrs of spent acid in process since 01.07.2022 and as per the lifting receipts it has got lifted 06 KL to M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Focal Point, Phase-8, Ludhiana.<span style="color: red;"> </span></span></p>

The percentage comes out as 88 %. It is added here that the last lifting by the JBR was on 22.12.2022 and the representative informed that the same will be lifted within a few days.</span></p>

During visit 01 rotary furnace was found to be in operational condition and other rotary furnace was found not in operational condition.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto<span style="color: red;"> </span>30.06.2024<span style="color: red;"> </span>with suitable conditions.</span></p>
