Kindly peruse the agenda note attached by AEE regarding grant of varied consents. <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; font-style: normal;">It is added here that NOC last granted by Board in the year 2018 was for modernization of unit by installing new beans processing unit, chiller unit of capacity 2000 MT alongwith secure compressor in its existing premises without any change in its production capacity. At the time, the NOC was granted for discharge of treated trade effluent@ 344 KLD and 35 KLD domestic effluents as per the project details submitted by the industry, but t<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">he industry was granted CTO under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for discharge of 244 KLD treated trade effluent and 35 KLD domestic effluent.    <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The current application reveals discharge qunatity of trade effluent @ 160 KLD and domestic effluent @ 12 KLD including sundry consumption (i.e. Total 172 KLD). This matches with water meter readings i.e. on avergae 170 KLD.   Therefore, it is recommended that varied 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for discharge of trade effluent @ 160 KLD and domestic effluent @ 12 KLD (Total 172 KLD onto land for plantation after ETP) be granted upto 30/09/2023 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, may be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2027 with suitable conditions and following special conditions: 1.        The industry shall clean and maintain its sludge drying beds and submit compliance. 2.        The industry shall provide DO meter with the aeration tank for efficient working and energy saving of ETP. 3.        The industry shall maintain its plantation area properly within 15 days and submit compliance. 4.        The industry shall dismantle/displace its sand filter and ACF from the line of ETP. 5.        The industry shall make formal agreement with Kandhari godown unit for discharging its treated effluent in the plantation area within three months and submit compliance.
