<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">It is submitted that the industry is a small-scale orange category unit and was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide dated 25/07/2021 which was valid upto 31/12/2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has submitted a Compliance report of previous consent conditions, a CA Certificate regarding fixed assets and an Air emission sampling report from PBTI Mohali wherein, the Particulate matter parameters from the Stack attached to the Boiler are within the prescribed limits of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry was visited by the undersigned on 20-01-2023 & observed that the industry was partially in operation during the visit. Only dry process such as knitting and stitching was in operation. The wood-fired Boiler and washing section were not in operation during the visit.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">In view of the above, May if approved, it is recommended that the validity of consent to operate granted to the industry under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended upto 30/09/2023 subject to suitable conditions.</span></p> |
