It is intimated that RO had reported that the industry has not installed ETP at a service station and untreated effluent is being discharged into the sewer.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;The directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 confirmed as the industry was not installed ETP at a service station and untreated effluent was being discharged into the sewer.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">&ldquo;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now, the project proponent has applied for fresh consent to operate under the provisions of the Water &nbsp;Act, 1974, and Air Act,1981.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;thereafter CTO applied by the industry was granted for six months along with temporary electric restoration as it had installed the ETP and the workshop complied with the provision of the Water Act,1974.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now the workshop has applied the CTO under the Water Act, of 1974&nbsp; and RO has reported that ETP installed by the industry was in operation t<span lang="EN-IN">he treated effluent is being discharged into the sewer. However, during the visit, no washing of vehicles was observed.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;If approved the Consent to operate under the provisions of the Water &nbsp;Act, 1974 may be granted for six months with the suitable conditions and special conditions EE, RO may be requested to visit the site as per the protocol of the Board to restore further electric connection to monitor the ETP, verify the mode of disposal, to verify the compliance with environmental law and send the report along with a recommendation.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-IN">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-IN">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-IN">&nbsp;( B)Amended directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the PSPCL authorities to further restore the electric connection temporarily to the industry for a period of six months.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">(Competency: Chairman Sir )</span></p>
