<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">The industry is a small-scale orange category plyboard manufacturing unit and was visited by the officer of the Board on 29/12/2021 and found to be violating the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The show cause notice was issued to the industry along with the opportunity for a personal hearing before Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana wherein it was decided that Directions u/s 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued for closure of the industry. Accordingly, the electricity connection was disconnected by PSPCL vide application no. 100018030108 dated 15-06-2022.</span></p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">The industry later applied for fresh Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for Plywood & Board @ 600 Sq.m/day and was found complying. It was granted Consent to Operate accordingly which was valid upto 04/01/2023. The electricity connection of the industry was also restored temporarily for six months.</span></p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents and fees.</span></p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">The industry was visited by AEE on 08-12-2022 & observed as under:</span></p>

(Particulate matter @ 218 mg/Nm3 against 500 mg/Nm3)</span></p>
