<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry is a small scale orange category industry and the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has deposited Rs. 36400/- vide R. No. 989537668 dated 25.12.2022 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 35200/- vide R. No. 534826587 dated 25.12.2022 under the Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2025 after deducting NOC and late penalty fees.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry was given the personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 11.01.2023 and during hearing it was decided as under :-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry shall submit proof regarding date of commissioning of industry and land use classification certificate, within 07 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Environmental engineer, Regional Office-IV, Ludhiana shall visit the industry, verify the contentions of the industry and process consent application on merits.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">In compliance to hearing decision, it is informed that the industry has submitted copy of CLU issued from STP, Ludhiana vide letter no. 65 dated 08.01.2009 and as per CLU the site falls in medium and heavy industrial zone as per Master Plan of Ludhiana and electricity bill dated 21.05.2009 as proof of date of commissioning. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Further, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 23.01.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(1) The industry is a small scale unit and engaged in assembling of Transformers, Servo Stabilizers and rectifiers. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(2) The manufacturing process of the industry is: Raw Material Winding Core assembly Fitting & Assembly Tank Fabrication Painting Testing Dispatch. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(3) The industry has installed the one no. spray painting booth with air curtain as APCD which is provided with adequate stack height. However, the spray panting booth section was not in operation during the visit. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(4) The industry has installed one D.G. set of capacity 25 KVA, which is with canopy and having adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(5) No, trade effluent is generated by the industry and the domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(6) The industry has submitted copy of CLU issued from STP, Ludhiana vide letter no. 65 dated 08.01.2009 and as per CLU the site falls in medium and heavy industrial zone as per Master Plan of Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">(7)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span> The industry has submitted electricity bill dated 21.05.2009 as proof of date of commissioning. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that fresh consents under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2025 with appropriate conditions and special condition that:- </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">1. The industry shall get its stack emission sample of the paint booth section analysed from the Board Lab within one month. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
