<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Kindly peruse the agenda note attached by AEE. A perusal of DTP letter dated 29/11/2013 reveals that since the subject cited unit is operating before July 2007 i.e. well before notification of Master Plan of Khanna in 2010. Therefore, NOC was given for operation of existing unit for 10 years, however, the industry has not been permitted for further expansion of building/process thereafter.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>As, the site of the industry falls in the Residential Zone as per Master plan of Khanna and within MC limits of Khanna. Therefore, subject cited site is not suitable for carrying out expansion. However, the subject cited industry has already installed additional machinery for manufacturing of Agriculture pipes (Kissan Pipe), PVC garden pipes @ 4.8 MTD<em> </em>and Lamination sheet and printing etc. @ 3.8 MTD. Also, it has increased its area from 450 sqm to 520 sqm.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> It is therefore recommended that the industry be issued show cause notice for refusal of 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the SEE of the Board.</p>
