<p class="style" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .25in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; background: white; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Discussed, it is submitted that the industry was granted fresh Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/PTA/2021/14358069 dated 21/01/2021 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/PTA/2021/14358037 dated 21/01/2021, both were valid upto 30-09-2022 for service and repair of vehicles @ 15 number/day under orange category with certain conditions mentioned therein and special condition that this consent is issued only for service and repair, for which CLU has been issued to the service station by the Department of Town & Country Planning, Punjab. </span></p>
<p class="style" style="text-align: justify; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .25in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; background: white; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for service and washing of vehicles @ 15 number/day and for trade effluent generation @ 6.5 KLD for treatment in ETP and submitted request for conduct of effluent sampling of ETP.</span></p>
<p class="style" style="text-align: justify; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .25in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; background: white; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">However, it was not clear from the CLU granted by the concerned authority and Consent to Operate granted by the Board to the industry, as to whether washing activity of vehicles is allowed and as such this application of the industry cannot be processed further.</span></p>
<p class="style" style="text-align: justify; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .25in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; background: white; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">If approved, application of the industry maybe returned with request to resubmit the application for varied Consent to Operate of the Board under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith revised CLU from concerned authority specifying for washing of vehicles alongwith service & repair in its premises.</span></p> |
