<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kindly peruse the note and recommendation given by RO. It is intimated that the service station was earlier visited by an Officer of the Board on 15.04.2021 and 15.07.2021 and observed a violation of the provisions of the Water Act, 1974, and Air Act, 1981.</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Further, it is intimated that the service station is covered under Orange Category and was established in Sector 82, SAS Nagar without obtaining Consent to Establish (NOC) of the Board and is operating without consent to operate of the Board as required under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981. At this site, no industry other than Green Category can be established/ operate. Accordingly, the service station was issued following directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide letter no. 4832 dated 24.08.2021</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">1. That the industry will immediately stop its manufacturing activities and will not restart the same unless all adequate water/ air pollution control measures are taken and it obtains prior Consent to Operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2. That the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. authorities shall disconnect the supply of electricity available to the industry.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> The project proponent had applied for Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974, and Air Act, 1981 for the Sale of Four Wheel Vehicles @ 25 Numbers/day under the green category. RO also reported The service station was not in operation and the electricity supply was found disconnected and infrastructure for servicing and painting cars is available at the site and has not been removed. It has installed 2 DG sets of capacity 62.5 KVA and 125 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Thereafter, the project proponent was granted Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act,1981 under the green category dated 26.10.2021 for the Sale of Four Wheel Vehicles @ 25 no./day, which was valid till 31.03.2022 with special conditions mentioned therein</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Further, PSPCL was issued directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide letter no. 6002-6003 dated 25.10.2021 to restore electricity connection of the industry till 31.03.2022.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Thereafter the project proponent has obtained for varied Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act,1974 for the Sale of Four Wheel Vehicles and dry mechanical repair & oil change of vehicles (Without painting or washing) @ 25 Numbers/day under the green category along with further electric restoration up to 21/1/23.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now, the project proponent has again applied for renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water Act, of 1974 </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ro has reported that the industry is not doing washing/painting activity within its premises. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">If approved following action may be approved, please.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> 1. The Regional Office may be requested to decide the consent application on merit, being under Green Category.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2. Directions u/s 33A of the Water Act, 1974 be issued to PSPCL for temporary restoration of electricity supply available to the industry, a further 30/6/23.</span></p>
