RO has reported that the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (under Orange category) with requisite documents for manufacturing of Tablets @ 20000 Nos./day by using Phenytoin Sodium @ 1 Kgs/day, Imipramine HCL @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Amytryptyline @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Flunarizine @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Calcium Carbonate @ 1 Kgs/day, Nimsulide @ 0.5 Kgs/day, PCM @ 1 Kgs/day, Folic Acid @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Thicamine HCL @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Calcium Pantothenate @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Diclofenac @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Methyl Cobalamine @ 0.100 Kgs/day as raw material.           The industry has submitted map of factory, registered deed, rent deed, location plan, jamabandi, letter issued by DTP, Amritsar vide no. 1069 dated 03/11/2022 in which it is reported that the site of the factory falls in industrial land use zone as per notified Master Plan of Amritsar (2010-2031)           The industry was visited on 23/01/2023 and observed the following:- <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;">1.    The site falls under the Bal Kalan industrial area. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;">2.    The industry is engaged in the manufacturing of Tablets @ 20000 Nos./day by using Phenytoin Sodium @ 1 Kgs/day, Imipramine HCL @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Amytryptyline @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Flunarizine @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Calcium Carbonate @ 1 Kgs/day, Nimsulide @ 0.5 Kgs/day, PCM @ 1 Kgs/day, Folic Acid @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Thicamine HCL @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Calcium Pantothenate @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Diclofenac @ 0.5 Kgs/day, Methyl Cobalamine @ 0.100 Kgs/day as raw material. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;">3.    No trade effluent was seen discharged by the unit at the time of visit, however the domestic effluent was being discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;">4.    No DG set has been installed inside the premises of the industry.           It is further intimated that the industry is found complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The process of the industry falls in Orange category in small scale sector. RO has recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the industry up to 30/06/2027 with usual terms & conditions as per the policy of the Board along with special conditions that:- <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal;">1.            The industry shall not discharge fugitive emissions/trade effluent from its premises. <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal;">2.            The industry shall comply with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 issued from time to time. <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">EEZO has observed that RO has not mentioned about the effluent arise from the washing of pans/floor etc. <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">RO has replied that no effluent is being discharged from the process, only domestic effluent is generated and the discharge of which is onto land for plantation through septic tank. <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">In view of the above, may if approve the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the industry up to 30/06/2027 with usual terms & conditions as per the policy of the Board along with special conditions that:- 1)    The industry shall maintain the solar evaporation pond (if any) and shall not discharge any trade effluent.  2)    The industry shall make proper & adequate arrangements for storage & disposal of sludge generating from solar evaporation pond, in environmentally sound manner and shall maintain the records of same on daily basis.  3)    The industry shall execute agreement with authorized companies for disposal of hazardous waste of all categories in environmentally sound manner and get authorization under Hazardous Waste Management Rules, 2016, within 01-month.  4)    The industry shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.  5)    The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.  6)    The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.  7)    The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.  <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal;">  8)    RO shall visit the industry to check the Water/Air pollution control devices within 02-months from the issuance of the consent. <p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: normal;">Competency SEE Sir
