<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is submitted that earlier the unit was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/RPN/2018/7277124 dated 25/06/2018 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/RPN/2018/7277052 dated 22/06/2021, both of which were valid upto 30/09/2022 for manufacturing of Plywood @ 2000 sq.ft/day subject to suitable terms and conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith compliance of previous consent and consent fee.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has submitted the CA certificate, wherein, the value of total assets of the unit is Rs. 16.86 lakhs as on 31.03.2022 with value of plant & machinery is Rs. 13.33 Lakhs. As per record file, the fee deposited by the unit under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 was adequate upto 01.01.2023 as per circular dated 18.07.2013. Now, the unit has deposited additional fee amounting to Rs. 5800/- vide UTR No. AXSK221850001887 dated 04.07.2022 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 5800/- vide UTR No. AXSK221850001859 dated 04.07.2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. As such, the fee deposited by the unit under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 is adequate upto 31.12.2025 after deducting 10% penalty as per circular dated 29.10.2018.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, the industry has submitted the copy of license issued by Forest Division Officer, Rupnagar which is in the note <strong>attached alongwith.</strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 76.5pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">It is added here the unit has not submitted the stack emission analysis report; however, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>has deposited Rs. 7198/- vide R. No. 83/5324 dated 23.01.2023, as advance fee w.r.t the stack emission samples and has requested to conduct the sampling through the Board, which will be conducted shortly.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Further, the unit was visited by AEE on 17.01.2023 and Sh. Diljeet Singh Bhinder, representative was contacted. During visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>

It has provided sampling arrangement with the stack.</span></p>

The unit has made arrangement for disposal of domestic wastewater onto land for plantation. The representative was advised to install water meter.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">From above, it is clear that the unit is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In view of above, may if approved, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed for 30.09.2025 subject to the suitable conditions and following special conditions as under:</span></p>
