CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2020/13656416 dated 17.09.2020 which was valid upto 31.03.2021 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2020/12716225 dated 17.09.2020 which was valid upto 31.03.2021 for the manufacturing of Corrugation Boxes (Master Carton and Mono Carton) @ 40 MTD by using Kraft Paper and Duplex Board @ 40 MTD, Glue @ 100 Kgs/day, Ink (Water based) @ 60 Kgs/day subject to certain terms and conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Thereafter, the industry was granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2022/17142355 dated 07.01.2022 which is valid upto 06.07.2022 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2022/17142277 dated 05.01.2022 which is valid upto 30.09.2022 subject to certain terms and conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry was granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2022/18967617 dated 13.07.2022 which is valid upto 29.02.2024 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2022/18975889 dated 13.07.2022 which was valid upto 12.01.2023 subject to certain terms and conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 alongwith requisite documents which may kindly be perused.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry had deposited Rs. 54000/- vide R. No. 883217890 dated 28.04.2021 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Rs. 9000/- adjusted as penalty from the fee deposited under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. The consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 is adequate 11.12.2023. The industry has now deposited Rs. 54000/- vide R. No. 299331536 dated 27.04.2021 and Rs. 13400/- vide UTR No. N273211654489031 dated 30.09.2021 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 500/- as FDF, Rs. 8400/- as NOC regularization fee against increase in assets and Rs. 4500/- as late penalty and balanced Rs. 4500/- adjusted from the consent fee deposited. The total fee deposited by the industry under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is adequate upto 11.03.2024 against the fixed assets of the industry Rs. 979.34 lacs as per latest CA certificate submitted by the industry.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now, the industry has submitted that they have deposited Rs. 72500/- vide Reference no. PCB100620220002 dated 10.06.2022 under both Acts. The industry failed to link the fee with online application. After linkage of the above fee, the consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 will be valid upto 11.12.2025 and the consent fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 will be valid upto 11.03.2026. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry has submitted compliance report of the previous granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry has submitted an undertaking against the special condition imposed in the earlier consent in which mentioned that:</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><em>“We are using boiler steam for forced evaporation of boiler blow down water as we have very less quantity of the same, so there is no need of separate electric evaporator for boiler blow down water.”</em></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Further, as per circular no. CEE (HQ)/F.No./957/2016/59 dated 02/02/2016, the case for renewal of NOC/Consent to operate for Orange & Green category industries is to be processed based on self-certification submitted by the industry to the effect that it is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, as such, the unit covers under orange category.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">In view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be further auto renewed upto 30.09.2025 subject to suitable conditions as per earlier consents granted by the Board.</span></p> |
