<p style="text-align: justify;"> The industry was visited by office of RO on 06.01.2023 and it was observed as under:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one diesel fired heat treatment furnace with adequate stack height. However, the stack height is not equipped with adequate sampling arrangement. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry has also installed one diesel fired eye rolling furnace and one diesel fired tempering furnace with common adequate stack height. The stack attached with the furnaces is not properly intact and was found broken. The stack height is not equipped with adequate sampling.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry has not submitted the analysis report of air emission of heat treatment process in violation to the decision of the hearing dated 17.11.2021.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Accordingly, the industry was issued show cause notice with an opportunity to give reply within 3 days. The industry has not submitted any reply w.r.t SCN issued to it till date. Further RO has recommended to refuse the consent.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be refused, please.</p>
