<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; background: white; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry has submitted reply vide note dated 20.1.2023 that they have adopted good practices of Water Conservation (using effluent for pump gland cooling and other possible sources).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; background: white; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The Regional office has reported that as per the record and as per the water balance, the industry has discharge/inflow in ZLD ETP @ 1720 KLD max and as per the additional machinery installed the tentative generation of effluent will be 440 KLD. Considering the full capacity of ZLD ETP i.e. 2000 KLD, the industry has a cushion of 280 KLD in its existing ETP. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; background: white; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">In view of above, it is recommended that varied CTO under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31.3.2027 with special condition that the industry shall not operate additional machinery which will results in generation of effluent more than 280 KLD. </span></p>
