<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 No. CTOW/Fresh/JAL/2018/7941327 dated 13.07.2018 valid upto 30.06.2021 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 No. CTOA/Fresh/JAL/2018/7940890 dated 13.07.2018 valid upto 30.06.2021<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>for manufacturing of Valves and Ingots @8Metric Tonnes/Day by using Brass/Copper/Zinc Aluminium @1Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material by installing 1 No. electric furnace of capacity @ 0.1 megawat with bag house filter as APCD, 1 no. DG set of capacity 200 KVA with canopy and with electroplating section.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Thereafter, the industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar on 20.01.2022 for violation of the provisions Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) rules, 2016, wherein it was decided as under: </span></li>

Pvt. Ltd., on daily basis. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall not process any e-waste and shall dispose of the same to authorized company only.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall file the returns in regard to waste imported as per condition of the authorization granted for import of non-ferrous waste, by the Board.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall install & commission the air pollution control device with smelting furnace within 15-days, otherwise the Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall seal the smelting furnace.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall not process any lead bearing scrap in smelting furnace without getting Actual User Certificate (AUC) of the Board. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall apply for revised consents of the Board under the Water Act 1974 & Air Act 1981 through online system within 15-days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall visit the unit to verify the latest status after stipulated period and submit report alongwith recommendations.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of for manufacturing of Valves, Taps, Coks and Ingots @ 8 Metric Tonnes/Day by using Scrap, Ash, Dross, Granuals, Skimming, Residue, Brass, Zinc, Copper, Aluminium, Copper Scrap and nickle, Copper Scrap Druid @ 8 Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material by installing smelting furnace of capacity @ 8 Metric Tonnes/Day with bag house filter as APCD, one DG set of capacity 200 KVA with canopy with electroplating section.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by EE alongwith AEE of this on 29.11.2022 and<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>it was observed that the industry was not in operation. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed one smelting furnace of capacity 8 MT/day with bag house filter as APCD alongwith adequate stack height. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 1 no. DG sets of capacity 200 KVA with canopy. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed electroplating section. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt Ltd, Ludhiana@ 2000 Ltr/month for lifting of trade effluents generating from electroplating section. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has provided underground 2 No PVC tank (1000 each)for the storage of trade effluent generated by the industry. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is not discharging any trade effluent into sewer and plug the outlet into sewer as observed during visit.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has maintained the record for consumption of fresh water in process area and effluent lifted by M/s JBR Tech. Pvt. Ltd. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">No e-waste was observed during visit at site.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has filed the returns of imported of non-ferrous waste and also deposited fee. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted classification of area certificate vide letter No. 4172 dated 18.06.2018 in which it is mentioned that site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per Master Plan Jalandhar. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted approved building plan from Competent Person under Factories Act, Punjab.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The fixed assets of the industry have increased from Rs. 96.23 lacs (as per last CA certificate submitted at the time grant of previous consent) to Rs 151.41 lacs (as per latest CA certificate submitted as on 31.05.2022). The representative of industry submitted a list of additional machinery and as per which the industry has not installed any pollution machinery at site. The industry has submitted adequate NOC regularization fee for this increase & has also submitted adequate consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 adequate upto 30.06.2025.</span></li>
