<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 64.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Service station was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 Vide No. CTOW/Renewal/JAL/2018/7009098 dated 04.06.2018 valid upto 30.06.2021 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide No. CTOA/Fresh/JAL/2017/5395738 dated 17.07.2017 valid upto 30.06.2021 for <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>servicing and washing Of Scooters.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 64.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Thereafter, the Service station was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar on 19.12.2022 for refusal of consent to operate granted under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, wherein it was decided as under:</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 82.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The Service station shall submit the extended bank guarantee of Rs. 1.0 lacs within 03 days and the same be en-cashed by the Regional Office.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 82.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall visit the Service station within 03 days to collect the effluent sample of ETP, check the operation of record of ETP i.e water meter reading / hazardous waste generation and disposal etc and process the consent application on merit.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 64.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Now, the Service station has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention &<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for servicing and washing of scooters.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 64.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Service station was visited by officers of this office on 11.01.2023 and it was observed that the Service station was in<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>operation during visit and engaged in the process of <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>servicing and washing Of Scooters.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 64.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Service station has installed 1<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>No.<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>D.G set of capacity 62.5 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 64.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Service station has installed ETP for treatment of its trade effluent. The effluent samples from the final outlet of ETP were collected during visit and the report received from Zonal lab vide No. 106-08 dated 20.01.2023 as per which the parameters pH= 7.7, COD= 62 mg/l, TSS = 11 mg/l and O&G = BDL which are within the prescribed limits. The treated trade effluent is discharged onto land for plantation/lawn and garden developed within its premises. The domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The representative of service station informed that they have already execute agreement with Nimbua <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>by its sister concern unit i.e Raga Motors Pvt Ltd Paragpur, Jalandhar. Now they are in process for addition of the same.</p>
