<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The unit is a marriage palace and was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide No. CTOW/Fresh/NWS/2016/4484816 dated 17.09.2016 valid upto 30.09.2020 for marriage palace along with domestic effluent @ 8.0 KLD to be disposed of onto land for plantation after septic tank. The unit was granted consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide No. CTOA/Fresh/NWS/2016/4484814 dated 17.09.2016 valid upto 30.09.2020 for marriage palace along with DG Sets of capacity 01 No. 62 KVA, 02 No. of 125 KVA with canopy and stack of 3 m, subject to the conditions mentioned therein</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The unit was issued letter for violation of the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>for expiry of 'consent to operate' under the said Acts, with an opportunity to show cause in writing. Thereafter, the report in this regard were sent to ZO for taking action and again, the MP was issued SCN under the said Acts <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>alongwith PH <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>before SEE , ZO Jalandhar <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>on 7.04.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">To verify the compliance, it is intimated that the unit was visited by undersigned on 23.11.2022 , report in this regard was sent to competent authority for further necessary action which is under process.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the marriage palace has applied for obtaining consent to operate of the Board under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents. The marriage palace has deposited Rs. 42000/- under each Acts.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The fee deposited by the marriage palace is adequate upto 30.09.2026 including the penalty fee.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by the undersigned on 31.1.2023 and the details are as under:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

The marriage palace provided one Hall, Kitty hall, 8 Rooms and Banquet Hall and capacity of hall is 500 persons as informed by the representative of the unit.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that the marriage palace may be granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.09.2026 with suitable condition and with special condition that:-</span></p>
