<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry is a small scale red category phosphating unit and was granted Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, valid upto 20.09.2022.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Earlier, the industry has not made an agreement with the CETP operator as such, the electric connection was disconnected on 31.05.2017 and restored temporarily four times and lastly upto 20.09.2022.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The industry has already deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2025.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the officer of RO on 17.12.2022 and it was observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in the manufacturing of electric panels and is having the process of phosphating and powder coating.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry has provided water meter on the source of fresh water supply and reading was noted to be 14.84 KL during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong>3. <!--[endif]-->The industry failed to show the record of total water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana for lifting of effluent @ 1,000 Ltr/month.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The industry has provided storage tank of capacity 1000 ltrs for collection of trade effluent generated from the process. No effluent was lying in the storage tank during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6. <!--[endif]-->The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->7. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one powder coating booth in-built cyclone as APCD and adequate stack height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->8. <!--[endif]-->The industry has also installed an electric fired oven with the powder coating section.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->9. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one DG set of 62.5 KVA with canopy as well as adequate stack height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->10. <!--[endif]-->The site of industry falls in approved Focal Point.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> In view of above, it is recommended that show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry with an opportunity of personal hearing at ZO level.</p>
