<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">It is submitted that the hotel is a large red category hotel and has been granted CTO under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act ,1974 vide CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2022/18441232 dated 22.08.2022 valid upto 31.01.2023 & under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2022/18603425 dated 22.08.2022 valid upto 31.01.2023. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The hotel has deposited consent fee of amounting to Rs 14,10,000/- under vide R. no. 828292523 dated 20.01.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 14,10,000/- vide R. No. 976961414 dated 19.01.2023 under the Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.01.2028</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"> against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 217,27,10,089/- and plant & machinery Rs. 29,92,00,966/- as on 31.03.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">To verify the facts, the hotel was visited by undersigned on 25.01.2023 and it was observed as under:- </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">1. The hotel was in operation during the visit and occupancy was 50%.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">2. The hotel has installed ETP for treatment of trade effluent generated from the laundry section and the treated effluent of ETP is being discharged into the collection tank of STP. Further, the hotel has installed STP for treatment of domestic effluent generated from its premises. It is informed that effluent sample was collected from the outlet of the STP on 27.04.2022 and as per analysis result the concentration of pH = 7.1, TSS = 21 mg/l, TDS = 889 mg/l, COD = 116 mg/l, BOD = 25 mg/l, and Oil & Grease = 5.4 mg/l which are within prescribed limits. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">3. The hotel is maintaining the record of STP/ETP operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">4. The hotel has one oil fired baby boiler of 0.85 TPH capacity with adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">5. The hotel has two hot water generators (one oil fired and other gas) of capacity 2 lac Kcal (each) with adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">6. The hotel has provided hoods and adequate stack height in the kitchen for dissipation of fuel emissions. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">7. The hotel has two D.G. sets of capacity 750 KVA (each) with canopy and adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">8. The hotel has made agreement with M/s A2V Infra Service, Regd., off Bhadur House, Booth No. 6, Arya School Road, Ludhiana for disposal off dry and wet garbage of the hotel (agreement copy attached). </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">9. The hotel has informed that earlier they were having 35 kg capacity composting machine. Now, they are replacing 35 kg capacity machine and has given order for installation of new composting machine of 250 kg capacity (order copy attached) and same will be installed within 15 days. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">(Prevention & Control of Pollution) </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Act, 1974 and the Air </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">(Prevention & Control of Pollution) </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Act, 1981 may be extended to the hotel upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</span></p>
