Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH1/2020/12248798 dated 01.12.2020 valid upto 31.12.2025 and vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH1/2020/12234203 dated 01.12.2020 valid upto 31.12.2025 for manufacturing of Multilayered Cross Laminated Tarpaulin Covers, Sheets & Bags @ 2400 MT/year, Paper Sheet, Paper Roll @ 1700 MT/year, Lubricating and Industrial Oil @ 1200 KL/year and BIO degradable @ 2400 MT/year by using of Fresh Plastic Granules @ 2500 MT/year, Paper @ 1800 MT/year, Base Oil and Anti Rust Additive @ 1200 Kl/year and PBAT(Poly Butyl Adipic Terephthalate) and Starch @ 2400 MT/year. Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 after installation of STP and for manufacturing of Multilayered Cross Laminated Tarpaulin Covers, Sheets & Bags @ 2400 MT/year, Paper Sheet, Paper Roll @ 1700 MT/year, Lubricating and Industrial Oil @ 1200 KL/year and BIO degradable @ 2400 MT/year by using of Fresh Plastic Granules @ 2500 MT/year, Paper @ 1800 MT/year, Base Oil and Anti Rust Additive @ 1200 Kl/year and PBAT(Poly Butyl Adipic Terephthalate) and Starch @ 2400 MT/year. The industry has filled online application form, uploaded project report, site plan location plan, List of Directors, Memorandum Article certificate, Allotment letter of the Designated Authority, if the site of the project is located in the designated Industrial Area/ Industrial Estate/ Focal Point. The industry has deposited consent fee which is adequate upto 31.12.2027. In order to verify the application form, the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 30.01.2023 and it was observed as under:- 1.    The industry was in operation and is engaged in the manufacturing of Multilayered Cross Laminated Tarpaulin Covers, Sheets & Bags @ 2400 MT/year, Paper Sheet, Paper Roll @ 1700 MT/year, Lubricating and Industrial Oil @ 1200 KL/year and BIO degradable @ 2400 MT/year. 2.    The industry has installed STP for the treatment of domestic effluent. The STP was not in operation and record of operation of STP has yet to be maintained by the industry. Due to non-operation of STP, samples could not be collected. 3.    The industry has proposed to dispose treated domestic effluent onto land for plantation. 4.    The industry has installed 1 D.G set of capacity @ 380 KVA which is equipped with canopy and stack. 5.    The industry has also installed one diesel fired heating furnace. The industry needs to raise the height of the stack.           Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the varied Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for manufacturing of Multilayered Cross Laminated Tarpaulin Covers, Sheets & Bags @ 2400 MT/year, Paper Sheet, Paper Roll @ 1700 MT/year, Lubricating and Industrial Oil @ 1200 KL/year and BIO degradable @ 2400 MT/year upto 31.12.2027 with suitable terms and conditions and with special condition that:- 1.    The industry shall raise the height of diesel fired heating furnace 3 mtr above the roof level within 1 month. 2.    The industry shall got its domestic effluent domestic effluent analyzed from Board's lab within 1 month.     Comp:  EE, RO, Ludhiana.
