<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry is engaged in pickling process to manufacture Bright Steel Bars etc. @ 10 MTD by using M.S. Rounds etc. @ 10 MTD and Sulphuric Acid (Pickling Section) @ 25 Kgs/day and there is no generation of trade effluent from the process, however spent acid is being sent by the industry to reprocessor under the name and style of M/s JBR Technologies Unit-II, Kohara, for which, the industry has already signed an agreement on 22.08.2022 with M/s JBR Technologies Unit-II, Kohara for disposal of spent acid @ 2000 ltrs/month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Further, as per Punjab Pollution Control Board, Head Office letter no. 20757-58 dated 30.09.2022 regarding demarcation of the area of operation of the Common Effluent Treatment Plant installed at PSIEC, Focal Point, Chanalon for the treatment of effluent from surface treatment industries vis-a-vis the Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Ludhiana, directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 were issued to M/s Bantech Pvt. Ltd., CETP Operator, Industrial Focal Point, Chanalon, Kurali, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) and M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., (CETP Operator LETS), D-260-261, Phase-8, Ludhiana. Due to miscommunication of Regional Office with the subject cited industry, it has also signed an agreement with M/s Bantech Pvt. Ltd. Now, undersigned has guided the industry to cancel the agreement with CETP Chanalon and continue lifting spent acid to reprocessor i.e. M/s JBR Technologies Unit-II, Kohara. It is pertinent to mention here that the industry has not disposed off any spent acid to CETP Chanalon till date.</span></p> |
