<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The pointwise reply to the observations raised by Worthy MS of the Board vide note dated 10.01.2023 is as under:</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .75in;">4. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry was granted CTE on 15.02.2022 for discharge of trade effluent @ 20 KLD(600 KL/month) for treatment in ETP followed by RO system with special condition that in case of non-commissioning of CETP Chanalon, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the industry shall install captive ETP of adequate capacity to treat trade effluent. Further, it is<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>informed that a meeting was taken by Hon’ble Chairman of the board on 21.12.2021 at Head Office, Patiala with the electroplating units of Ludhiana disposing off their effluent to CETP M/s JBR Technologies, Ludhiana and it was decided in the meeting that all the pickling/electroplating units having agreement with M/s JBR technologies and effluent more than 150 KL/month shall submit their proposal to install captive ETP based on ZLD technology within 3 months with timelines to comply within 6 months. CETP Chanalon was commissioned in Nov, 2022 and in this period, the industry was ready for commissioning, as such, this industry having effluent more than 150 KL/month could not make agreement with JBR technologies at the time of commissioning and with CETP Chanalon as it was not commissioned at that time. Hence, the industry installed its captive ETP.</p>

The representative informed that the stagnated water was collected in pucca tank, from which it was pumped to collection tank of ETP.</span></p>
