Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SGR has reported that the industry was visited by EE alongwith AEE on 10.01.2023. The industry has provided oil and grease trap in its premises for trade effluent of the solvent and refinery unit. The industry has installed ETP and STP outside the boundary wall of its unit, but within the premises of sister concern unit i.e. M/s A.P. Organics Pvt. Ltd. The effluent of this industry & sister concern unit M/s A.P. Organics Pvt. Ltd. is treated in the ETP and STP. The trade effluent after oil and grease trap was sent through pipeline in the ETP installed in the sister concern unit. After treatment, the treated trade effluent is being reused in cooling tower section and boiler feed water by the industry. The domestic effluent was sent through pipeline in the STP installed in the sister concern unit. The RO reject is mixed with treated domestic effluent of STP and collected in the final storage tank from where it is disposed off onto land for plantation provided by the industry. Further, it has clarified that the industry has provided ETP in the premises of M/s A.P. Organics Pvt. Ltd, which is commonly used by both the industries. The industry has given undertaking that they will ear marked the ETP area and provide separate gate for the access to the area and has requested for considering the ETP and STP into area of M/s Ricela Health Foods.
