<p style="text-align: justify;">It is intimated that the worthy Chief Environmental Engineer has raised observations regarding the details of Air Pollution control measures to be adopted by the plant and regarding the treatment and disposal of waste water to be generated from the washing processes and other waste water generating sources by the industry.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In reply, the Regional Office has reported that the industry has proposed to install inbuilt dust collector followed by bag filter as APCD in its RMC Plant. The dust / air pollution is generated mainly during the loading / unloading of cement in RMC Plant and the APCD proposed by the project proponent is adequate in principal. The project proponent has further submitted that there will be no generation of trade effluent as entire water is reused in making concrete mix.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1) ‘Consent to Establish’ / NOC may be granted for establishment of RMC Plant, in the revenue estate of Village Rajjowal, Tehsil Ludhiana West, District Ludhiana in an area of 158 Kanals 16 Marlas (19.85 Acres) bearing khasra no. 36// 18-23, 37//3-4, 37//8-7-12-13, 36//3/2-2-7-14-6-17-24-25, 36//11/2-20-26, 37//2-9-26-12, 36//12-13-14-19-22, subject to suitable conditions alongwith following special conditions:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A) The project proponent will operate at site for period upto 31.12.2024 only and will remove the entire machinery from the site thereafter.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">B) The operation of plant will be only for the purpose of construction of Ludhiana – Roopnagar Greenfield Expressway.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2) Directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the PSPCL Authorities to issued industrial electricity connection to the project proponent.</p>
