<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SGR/2018/7226882 dated 30/04/2018 & the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SGR/2018/7226855 dated30/04/2018, both valid upto 30/09/2022 for manufacturing Zinc Sulphate @ 10 MPD and Ferrous Sulphate @ 5 MTD by using of Zinc Ash @ 4 MTD, Sulphuric Acid @ 6.5 MTD and Iron Scrap @ 2.5 MTD as raw material. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Ferrous Sulphate @ 5 MTD by using Iron Scrap @ 2.5 MTD, Sulphuric Acid @ 6.5 MTD, as raw material. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>RO has recommended for grant of short time CTOs. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Since, the industry is having 2 no. reactors to manufacture Zinc sulphate and also use zinc ash for the same. Thus, the industry requires to obtain AUC-cum-passbook <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>under HWM Rules, 2016. If approved, EE, RO, SGR be asked to clarify, whether the zinc sulphate manufacturing machinery has been dismantled by the industry or the industry has given undertaking regarding non operation of the zinc sulphate section. Whether the industry needs renewal of consents or fresh CTOs as per the policy of the Board, please. </span></p> |
